Europe Calling ‘Europe. Defensible? – The large citizen webinar on European defence policy’

Dear friends and interested parties!
It is not just the discussion about Greenland that makes it clear: the European Union must take care of its own security in the future. The days when Europe could rely on the US are over. Trump’s USA, Russia, China and others are openly attacking the European project – in different ways, in digital and physical areas of conflict, but always very real.
That is why the EU and its member states are investing record sums in security and defence. It can sometimes be difficult to keep track of everything, but in this webinar, in collaboration with MEP Hannah Neumann, we want to change that.
With our distinguished guests, we want to focus on two questions in particular:
- What are the major gaps and requirements in European defence policy and what does it take to close them?
- How can we close these gaps in a transparent and democratically secure manner?
