Europe Calling “Palestine and Israel – How politics and civil society can stop the suffering in Gaza and win peace”

30.October 18:00 - 20:00

Register now and ask questions here in advance!

Dear friends!

Hopes were high in light of the 20-point peace plan. In addition to the release of hostages on both sides, it was also intended to lead to a ceasefire. However, this has already been broken by both sides and aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip have been suspended. The situation in the occupied West Bank also remains tense.

The mood within the EU and beyond has changed, and not just since the new United Nations report with evidence of genocide in Gaza. The suffering in Gaza, combined with openly genocidal statements by some members of the Israeli government, is forcing even Israel’s closest allies to rethink their position. At the same time, the voices of civil society in Israel and Palestine are increasingly being suppressed and weakened, so that protests and public pressure are having little effect.

So how can lasting peace and justice be achieved? How can Palestine be rebuilt? What role do politics and civil society play in Europe and the Middle East?
