Denmark stands not alone, but is representative of a trend in the Nordic countries, characterised by repression and restrictions. One reason given for this is that such policies keep right-wing parties small and societies democratic.<\/p>\n<p><b>But do these arguments really hold? Are repressive migration policies by democratic parties really the antidote to a shift to the right?
